We developed a powerful and comprehensive promotion material strategies for Brehm & OPTIONS’ $3.5 million Capital Campaign. We also named the campaign "Dual Campus Vision". The layout integrates a 9 x 12 in. book which was used by the campaign leadership team as a presentation tool and leave behind option for prospective lead donors from all over the country. An optional PowerPoint presentation was also created for the campaign.

We used a bold headline and photograph to grab the attention of donors and show the engagement of teachers at the school with the students. This was a natural photograph that we stumbled upon in the middle of campus, and we knew instantly we had the image that would resonate with Brehm & OPTIONS’ primary audience. This spread also includes a powerful poem created by the school’s founder Carol Brehm from 1982, when the school was founded. Carol Brehm opened the school to find the best experts to help her son as well as other children with LDs.

Sharing the campus concept

We knew it was important to share the future of Brehm & OPTIONS with the readers and create that campus vision by showing buildings that did not exist to this point. By working with the clients and digging deep into the concept of the campus, we discovered that the architects had more than the bland computer line presentations all of us had seen up until that point. We obtained the original CAD file without details and selected interesting focal points which we positioned at an angle for more interest. Next, we added in students, tables, trees, and some color to provide the mood and style we were looking for that capture the vision of our clients. A watercolorist completed the look, and we were able to provide a visually interesting way to view the campus of the future.

This multi-million-dollar capital campaign by Greensboro College did not have any advance architectural direction at all. It needed the help of a strong typographic presentation to resonate with readers. We used foil seal, ribbed cover stock, and interior quotes from the campaign leadership team to give this presentation interest. We also set up the full-color brochure found in the inside pocket inside.
